Jabra headsets integration: Jabra device handling in CloudPBX Desktop has been completely reworked to ensure CloudPBX Desktop works properly with most Jabra headsets.

Click-to-dial with an extension: Use the tel protocol to set up a hyperlink for click-to-dial with an extension. For example, the code
<a href="tel:+16045553727;ext=1">dial +1-604-555-3727 Extension 1</a>
instructs CloudPBX Desktop to call the number, pause, then call the extension.You can customize the pause period to the length that works in your environment. Use the setting
feature:tel_uri_processing:pause_sequence
. The default value is,,,,
(four commas). Change the number of commas to make the pause longer or shorter according to your PBX/SIP server. -
This version also includes updates to various third party libraries.

Improvements

Language selection at start up- Previously CloudPBX Desktop required an exact match of "language+locale", but it now uses the closet one if no exact match is found. For example, if the OS language is German - Switzerland (de-ch), CloudPBX Desktop now chooses German where the older version of CloudPBX Desktop chooses English.

[Windows] New preference for camera rotation- This setting controls the rotation of a camera for your video feed. Under CloudPBX Desktop Preferences>Devices>Other Devices, look for Camera Rotation, and select Normal, Flipped or None, and close and reopen the Video window to see the change.

The default value for upstream video resolution is now 480p. Users who previously selected another resolution under Preferences> Devices> Other Devices> Max Resolution will see no change until they uninstall and install the app again.

Updates to the latest Jabra SDK.

Previously the HTTPS GET request was used to log the user into the End User Portal. Now Stretto supports both POST and GET. To send a POST request, additional configurations are required, as well as Stretto 3.2.0 patch 1002.
All users should upgrade to CloudPBX Desktop 6.5.2. Older clients will fail to log in once you switch Stretto to use POST. An alternative is to configure two sets of Stretto templates using custom discriminators to support both POST and GET. Refer to your Stretto Admin Guide for details.

Fixed an issue on Windows where an embedded browser displays a blank page until the page is resized; pages now appear properly.

Fixed a screen sharing issue on Windows after a participant became a presenter to share their screen.

Known issue found in Version 6.5.2
Version 6.5.2 had the following issue which has been fixed in 6.5.3.
On Windows, there is an issue with custom web panels where a second web panel does not appear as a tab by default if it is added after provisioning the first web panel. Users can go to the CloudPBX Desktop Branded Client menu > View then click to show the second web panel manually.

Screen Share service: The first generation Screen Share service will be shut down on October 1st, 2021 and all customers can move to the next generation service, which offers a much higher 1080p HD Screen Sharing experience.
All customers with Screen Share and/or CloudPBX Desktop are advised to upgrade to 6.4.0 to prevent interruptions to your end-user service.

Deployment: CloudPBX Desktop on Windows now ships as an MSI for installation. This has been a long-requested feature, as this allows our customers to repackage the solution into their own EXEs. By moving to the MSI format, the application will now be much easier to deploy in Enterprises using Microsoft Domain Tools or MDM systems.

Version 6.4.0 requires changes in your custom graphics for your Windows application. The image files that have .ai file extension need to be resubmitted to Branding Portal as .svg files. Counterpath will try to take care of the file conversion for your brand, and will reach out to you in case the attempt was unsuccessful.
