Many businesses need to record inbound and outbound calls for a range of reasons. Sometimes these calls will contain sensitive information that you can't record for the privacy and security of the person you are speaking to.
We've just rolled out a new feature to our Hosted PBX platform that allows you to pause and resume a recording mid-call. Once the feature is enabled for your hosted instance, you will be able to control what is recorded.
To pause a recording dial *1. You will hear "disabled" played to indicate that recording has been stopped.
To resume a recording dial *3. You will hear "enabled" played to indicate that recording has been resumed.
When this feature is enabled for inbound calls, the person who answers the call have the ability to pause and resume the call. On inbound calls this feature can be selective enabled per incoming number.
When this feature is enabled for outbound calls, the perosn who makes the call will have the ability to pause and resume the call. On outbound calls this is enabled for all calls for an extension.
