To apply a 60 or 120 second idle timeout to Lock Screen in Windows, follow the below steps:
- Download either the InactivityTimeout060Seconds.reg or the InactivityTimeout120Seconds.reg file in this article to your Windows PC. The files are at the bottom of this page.
- Right-click the downloaded file and then select Merge.
- If you are prompted to allow the changes to be made to your device, click Yes.
- When prompted with a warning to add values to the registry, click Yes.
- Restart your computer.
Windows will then go to the Lock Screen when there is no activity for the specified number of seconds.
